Brandon Arlredge
Park Attendent

Brandon Arlredge, a lifelong resident of Haywood County joined Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2005. He currently works at our cemetery as one of our park attendants.

Fred Buchanan
Funeral Assistant

Fred Buchanan is a longtime resident of Haywood County. He has been a funeral assistant for Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations since 1993. Fred is a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church and enjoys serving the public and assisting families at the funeral home.

Morgan Davis
Funeral Assistant

Morgan, a native of Haywood County, living in the Canton community. He retired from Champion International (Evergreen) in 1993 and come to work at Garrett Hillcrest, Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2003. Morgan is a member and Deacon of Canton Freewill Baptist Church. He is a funeral assistant at the funeral home and enjoys serving our community.

Keith Gentry
Hillcrest Park Attendant

Keith, a lifelong resident of Haywood County, joined Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 1999. He is a member of the Mission Baptist Church in Waynesville. He currently works as at our cemetery as one of our park attendants.

David Greene
Funeral Assistant, Part-time

David, a native of the Fines Creek community of Haywood County joined Garrett Hillcrest, Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2003. He currently works fulltime for a private courier service delivering mail for the US Post Service. Here at Garrett, he is a part time funeral assistant and enjoys serving families. He is also a member of the Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church.

Chad Hamiel
General Manager

Chad has worked at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park Funerals and Cremations since 1999. He is a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church and of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge. Over the years in the funeral industry, he has learned first-hand, the honor, value and responsibility of serving others, especially at the time of their highest need, when they have lost a loved one.

Chris Hamiel
Cremation Director

Chris is a career funeral director joining Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 1999 as the General Manager. In late 2009, Chris assumed the role of Cremation Director. Chris is an Eagle Scout, Member of Longs Chapel United Methodist Church, and Sunday School Teacher. Chris enjoys flying, Gospel Music, but most of all enjoys helping people heal at the most difficult time of their life.

Rev. Dr. Timothy Howard
Funeral Assistant

Rev. Dr. Timothy Howard, joined Garrett Hillcrest, Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2010. He is a native of Western North Carolina growing up in Bryson City, NC. He has served as a Church of God minister for several churches throughout his ministry. He is a funeral assistant at the funeral home and enjoys serving families in their time of need.

Mary Marcus
Garrett Hillcrest Office Manager

Mary has worked at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations for 6 years. She was born and raised in Haywood County and currently lives in the Crabtree–Iron duff community. She has been a member and has attended Antioch Baptist Church her whole life and enjoys serving the youth. She enjoys being outside, walking and spending time with her family.

Richard McDaris
Funeral Assistant

Richard McDaris is a lifelong resident of Haywood County and joined Garrett Hillcrest, Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2006. He retired from Blue Ridge Paper (Evergreen) in 2002. Following his retirement, he has been very active at the funeral home serving his funeral service apprenticeship in 2008. He is currently a funeral assistant at the funeral home and enjoys serving families to the best of his ability.

Anthony Messer
Funeral Director

Anthony is a native of Haywood County and joined our staff in 2009. He is an active member of Calvary Road Baptist Church and also a member of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge. Anthony feels that helping families during one of their most difficult times is what he was called to do. He views funeral service as a ministry instead of a job.

Earl Nations
Funeral Assistant

Earl, a long time resident of the Clyde, NC joined Garrett Hillcrest, Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations in 2007. He is a member of the Thompson Cove Church of God and serves the funeral home as a funeral assistant. He enjoys working at the funeral home and takes great pride in serving each family with care and respect.

Andy J. Ray
Assistant Manager/Funeral Director/Embalmer

Andy is a native of Madison County and spent a number of years in the Atlanta area for his education and training. He joined our staff in 2010 and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both Georgia and North Carolina. Andy feels that it is an honor to work for the families in Haywood County and the surrounding areas. He strives to serve each family as if they were part of his own.
